The University of Nairobi held the 54th graduation ceremony on the 4th of December 2015. During this event over 8000 graduands were conferred with degrees and awards of Diplomas.

This graduation also saw 2 lecturers from the department of Educational Foundations graduate with Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Education. Dr. Lydia Njoki Wachira and Dr. Christine Muthoni Kahigi.

Bio: Dr. Lydiah Wachira

Dr. Lydia Njoki Wachira is a lecturer of History of Education at the Department of Educational Foundations.She holds a BEd (Hons) Literature, Religious Studies, University of Nairobi, 1976 and MEd (Primary Teacher Education), University of Nairobi, 1980. Dr. Lydiah has extensive experience in the field of education and has published numerous articles in journals and participated in local and international workshops.

Bio: Dr.  Christine Muthoni Kahigi

Dr. Christine Kahigi is a lecturer of Sociology of Education at the Department of Education Foundations.She holds a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed. Arts), Kenyatta University College, constituent college of University of Nairobi in 1983 and Masters of Education (Sociology of Education), University of Nairobi,2004.Dr. Christine has numerous research publications and has a career spanning well over 20 years in the field of Education.

The Department of Educational Foundations congratulates Dr. Lydiah and Dr. Christine on their accomplishments.
