CALL FOR PAPERS-INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON THE THEME '' AFRICANISING EDUCATION THROUGH CURRICULUM RE-IMAGINING''.- July 18 & 19, 2024

The Department of Educational Foundations, Faculty of Education, University of Nairobi (UoN), Kenya, in collaboration with colleagues from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada, is delighted to announce an international conference on the theme: “Africanizing Education through Curriculum Re-imagining.”
We invite educators, researchers, policymakers, graduate students and other community stakeholders to contribute papers that explore novel approaches to integrating African perspectives into educational curricula. This conference aims to foster dialogue, share research findings, policy, pedagogical ideas and practices and collaborate on strategies for re-imagining curricula that reflect the rich heritage and diverse cultures of Africa.

 

Additionally, the conference intends to bring together a diverse group of educators, scholars, policymakers, and students to discuss and share innovative strategies for incorporating and centering African perspectives in educational curricula. The goal is to build a collaborative platform for rethinking and reconstructing curricula that truly reflect Africa’s comprehensive knowledge, heritage and diverse cultures.

Submission Guidelines:
 Abstracts should be 250-300 words, outlining the main arguments and methodology.
 Full papers should be between 5,000-7,000 words, including references. After the conference, papers
presented will be considered for publication in an edited Special Issue Journal with the Cambridge.

 

Scholars Publishing.
 Submissions must be original work and not under consideration by other publications.
 All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process.
